When you watch DVDs at home do you watch them alone? With a spouse? Friends? Children?
Do you chat in any message forums or chat channels while watching?
Do you pop popcorn or eat movie candy? What are your movie watching rituals?

only if my wife let's me. which is never. so no, i don't watch movies alone. my kids are too young right now to sit and watch movies.
i don't do anything except watch the movie while it's on. chit chatting during the movie annoys the s**t out of me.
always eat popcorn, potato chips/dip, or chips/salsa. and i have to have a box of goobers to eat for every movie i see.

I love to have a few drinks with my best friend (been friends 20 years) and watch Horror movies. We have the same taste in movies and favor horror, comedy, cult classics and so-bad-its-good stuff.
My husband does NOT have the same taste in movies so watching movies with him is not fun. Her likes dramas like war movies, cop movies, prison movies, mafia movies. That stuff bores me to tears.

I watch lots of movies alone. My husband works alot, and works long hours, and he's tired at night, and he'll go to sleep early...so lots of times I stay up watching movies-if I am not on the Rewind. Alot of times I flip through channels because I don't think that I can make it through an entire movie...but then if there's a movie like Halloween or Friday the 13th on-at 1am...I'll stay awake and watch it.
I watch movies with my family alot too. We all just watched Ironman, but I fell asleep during it.
I usually pop popcorn...I have to have hot air- Orville Redenbacher popcorn, with lots of butter and salt. I have extremely low blood pressure, so I am allowed to have that stuff. I haven't had hardly any popcorn though in a year-because of my braces- but I go get them off next Wednesday. So, my Halloween party is a few days after that...I am eating chocolate covered apples and anything I couldn't eat this past year, and my friends and I will stay up and watch movies all night.

i either watch movies alone or with my daughter. we watch 80s movies together, disney movies and family films with each other. we love to pop popcorn or we cut up strawberries and eat them with whip cream. it's our favorite snack - we love strawberries. (it works when i try to cheer her up as well ) otherwise, i watch movies alone. my best friend and i trade movies constantly, watch the same ones at our own homes and then talk about them over the phone.
when the family gets together for movies..it's usually at the theater..otherwise if at home, i like to make banana royal sundaes. YUM

I watch movies alone occasionally, as there are some movies which I love and which my boyfriend does not appreciate (most 80s movies that is... hmm, how did I end up with this guy.... ). But generally I think it is much more fun to watch movies with other people. I agree though with xchazx about people talking while watching movies - annoying as hell. I like to accompany my movies with potato chips.

Alone. Always Alone, its the only way to get sucked into the movie.
I see those ad's on TV where 4 or 5 people cram on the couch all wearing those sh*t-eating grins and passing a bowl of popcorn and turn on some NetFlix movie on their "big" 42" widescreen set and cringe

Popcorn, strawberries, banana sundaes, chips! Now I'm getting hungry!
How about a couple of beers and some hot dogs with sauerkraut?

I watch movies pretty much every day, so the majority end up being alone, but I also watch plenty with my friends and family. Lately, my sister and I have had complimentary schedules, so we've been watching a lot of stuff together. I've been prodding her to watch a lot of '80s classics and surprisingly she's been amenable to the idea (we have a big age difference, so there's a generational gap to contend with). On movie nights we usually break out the Whirley Pop and pop up some hot buttered popcorn (or this sweet variety I make usiing butter and cinnamon sugar that my sister can't get enough of).

I watch movies with my wife (my son is too young yet), sometimes with friends and sometimes alone. Usually have to watch most of my 80's favorites alone...and no one will watch old Westerns with me either. Lately, my movie watching is limited as I'm so busy with my 2 year old son, and tired when he goes to bed. I always made fun of anyone who falls asleep during movies....arrghhhhhh....it's happening to me! Most always popcorn or chips...and Pepsi...though more recently....diet pop....keeping a belly off at 35 is harder than it used to be!

When it comes to 80’s movies, I mostly end up watching them alone or with my kids (they both adore Summer School). All the rest me and my missus watch together. Except scary movies… Those I have to watch with my son. He loves them and leaves me no choise but to let him join. Of course I only let him, depending on HOW scary the movie is.

It varies. Most of the time I watch them alone. Other times with family or friends.
If it is a movie I have seen before or know by heart I tend to e-mail and stuff. It it is something I have never seen then I totally focus on it.
I usually only eat popcorn when I am at the movie theater. At home I'll snack on chips or something like that.

Usually I do watch alone, so I can react on my own to whatever happens. Perhaps it's an effect of having high end autism, but I prefer to be in my own zone when viewing; plus, I have to control to fast forward if a part I don't like comes up.

My movie watching is a mix between alone and with my daughter. Of course we only watch movie's that are appropriate for her. But typically I watch a lot of movies alone at home, and go out to the movies with friends.
I don't chat on message boards when I do, I can't multi task like that!
I have to have something to eat while I watch a movie. It keeps me from talking. I talk when I am alone to. I ask questions when no one is around. I am strange I know.

Alone, sometimes it's better that way most times so you have nothing to distract you while you watch.

I tend to watch them alone or if someone wants to watch it with me then I do.
I'm actaully watching Get Smart right now with my teddy bear, Marlon.
So I do tend to multitask when I watch movies alone.
Don't usually do the popcorn buisness unless I'm with my best friend then we tend to get distracted with it by trying to catch it in our mouths.
