Very few years I check on this film to see if it is on DVD yet? I assume it's still unavailable?

I buy alot of dvd-r transfers from this site and usually they are great quality and come with artwork. You can find a ton of movies that were never released on DVD yet.

Had it on dvd, but sold it again... it is really a bad movie, once you remove the rose tinted nostalgia glasses!

High Road to China is a great movie. I only have it on vhs, so the quality has deteriorated somewhat.
Interesting to note that Tom Selleck turned down the role of Indiana Jones, before it was given to Harrison Ford. This movie maybe gives some insight into how Selleck might have played Indy...

Had a look on that site mentioned above by 80sRocked. For those that are interested, a dvd-r copy with case and full artwork will cost around $9 plus postage. Some of them vary, but that's what I was quoted by the first one to ship overseas (my price delivered to the UK was $14, or around £8 GBP.)

Saw this a few years ago and thought it was pretty good especially the plane dump scene and the hard-to-get scenes with Bess Armstrong & Selleck.

I'm way overdue for a viewing of this little gem - might have to make the time over the weekend, in between being a taxi for the kids, gigging, and recovering!

Taped this off the tv years back. Been searching for the tape. Really want to get this on DVD. Thought the scenery and everything was quite good.

Hey, Paul. Have you ever thought of writing a review of High Road to China for the Rewind? Just wondering.

I liked it very much. Good old school adventure film.
Tom Selleck was on fire as hard-drinking pilot O´Malley and Bess Armstrong (Lace) also did a good job. They have that classic "arguing couple" relationship. Some great moments there.
Jack Weston was funny as Selleck´s sidekick "Struts" and Brian Blessed did what he does best - laughs Wilford Brimley and Robert Morley also star and you can see beautiful Cassandra Gava in a small role. She played J.J. in Night Shift and was the wicked witch in the original Conan the Barbarian.
Funny characters, exotic locations (shot mainly in Yugoslavia) and nice adventure feel.
While High Road to China was set in the 1920s, it´s time to move to 1930s. Next: Tom Selleck as Lassiter.
