I had seen this many many years ago on TV and barely even rememeber it so I just ordered the DVD. Anyone care to share thoughts on this movie?

From Tempest to Zombies to DMK....They came, they shopped, they saved the world!
I have it in HD on my DVR and it is an awesome treat for late at night. The soundtrack from the movie is stellar as well.
If you're a "Valley Girl" fan check out the radio station scene where Samantha is playing DJ for the flesh eating zombies of the world and notice one of the albums she tosses on the floor. How cool is that!
btw, maybe 'no other Val dude' could touch Tommy, but he didn't say anything about Zombies.
Who else thinks this movie is a hidden gem from the 80's?

A personal favorite of mine as well. The only thing I can't stand is how the military scientists were portrayed. They're too nilistic or something. Everytime they have a big scene, I reach for the fast forward button. Otherwise, it's a lot of fun and a movie that has a lot of nostalgic value for me. And I'm with you, Valley, I only really like to watch it late at night.

I loved this movie! I don't think that they air it enough. When is somebody going to come out with an "all 80's" channel?!

This is a great movie with an even better soundtrack. I snagged one on CD from ebay last Christmas and it has been in my CD player in my car ever since.

Okay, I've been saying this and thinking it for years! Killer idea Aruba! Great minds think alike ! Thing is, if this actually came to fruition, I'd never leave the house...haha!
As for "The Comet," oh God, I love it! It is a hidden gem. Kelly Maroni is great and Valley is right, there is something about watching this in the quietness of late night that just adds to the experience.
Let us know what you think.

Aruba and Cindy....I'm in total shock that there isn't an 80's movie channel by now. They can't go halfway though and only play popular 80's, if they used Rewinders as the programmers we could introduce or reintroduce a new generation to the true 80's experience. I'm in!

I love this movie to death. Has anyone ever made any plot comparisons to the Omega Man on here?

This is a true Gem...its not stupid, its not a comedy, its not a straight-up horror fest, its a little of both, and its also just oozing with 80's stereotypes, which makes it fun to watch 20+ years later.
The plot made an attempt at making sense without having too many "huh?" moments. The humor was handled just right...it wasn't TOO goofy. The closest it comes to being silly is the shootout in the Mall of the Val's versus the Punks
I mean, throwing your shoes at some guy aiming a gun at you. But then, you know right when its about to get dumb, it suddenly gets serious with **** Rude and the whole Russian Roulette sequence.
Its funny with the way the scientists kinda bumble around in a way, but then you see how they are trying to "kill kids" to turn them into organ farms....I mean its like...."Funny...eww nasty topic.."
Well balanced, and a great DVD.....I've never seen the film look better. Time to keep an eye out for an HD print someday.
