Does anybody know if "Eddie Wilson" was indeed confirmed to be alive, as depicted in Eddie and the Cruisers II movie?

Hi Navyman, I'm not quite sure I understand the question, but I think the ending of the first movie hinted that Eddie Wilson was indeed alive and the second movie seemed to reinforce it. Speaking of Eddie Wilson, has anyone seen him on here lately?

Yeah I miss Eddie Wilson...someone ought to send a search and rescue team out for him.

At the end of the movie...that is him standing there watching the TV.....so that pretty much implied that he was alive.

Eddie looks pretty good in Streets of Fire...I always wished he had done more stuff. He was also on The Greatest American Hero.

He, Michael Pare, that is, was in Hope Floats, but he played an a-hole, so he wasn't as appealing as in Streets of Fire, et al.

Thank you each and every one, for your replies. I did notice him (Eddie Wilson) standing at the store front at the end of the first movie, and some years ago, I saw part of "Eddie and the Cruisers II, Eddie Lives, movie. I remember where he was playing a guitar, and the guy he was jamming with commented that he recognized his playing as Eddie Wilson. I then I missed the rest of te movie from that point on. I have ordered The 2nd movie, today. I do look forward to seeing the 'Rest of the Story'.

I'll keep checking back, to see what other information, is posted, in response to my question. Thanks again, to all of you.

Ya know, Eddie and the Cruisers is one of my all-time favorites. So I was so happy when they made part 2...until I saw it. Then I was so disappointed I couldn't ever watch it again. But to answer Navyman's ?, and to reiterate what everyone else said, yep, Eddie was alive at the end of part 1. I'm guessing he was tired of being famous? That's what I always got from it.

pettyfan, I agree with you. Sometimes sequels should just be left to our imagination! You know "On the Darkside".

"Eddie and the Cruisers I" is an amazing film - I really liked the storyline about a reporter doing research on a at-one-time hugely popular band, but had since fallen by the wayside (after the disappearance/presumed death of the lead singer); the flash-backs that were interspersed throughout the movie were brilliant, and it was nice to get a combination of scenes in both the present and the past - this is typical in more modern movies, but wasn't done that much back in '83 - or prior to this, for that matter.

Obviously Bruce Springsteen's music was an inspiration for this film, but I actually preferred the songs in the movie to any music by Springsteen - apologies to any BS fans!

I was not a big fan of EATC 2, and feel the film should never have been made - the last scene at the end of the first movie was enough to let you know that Eddie had survived.

The only element of the 2nd film I even remember is that Eddie had a relationship with a female artist who has a lot of paintings in her loft/studio - and the only color(s) she used were green & red (I think). Very strange/unusual.
