hi guys, do you all remember this totally 80's highschool drama series di-grasy junior high (i think that this is how it is spelt). This was great too!! so totaly 80s man!

I remember that show. Wasn't it filmed in Canada somwhere? I still find re-runs today.

It was spelled Degrassi and yep it was shot in Canada. You can actually find a box set of the Junior High seasons and then the High school seasons on amazon.com. :)

They're currently playing a new series called Degrassi: The Next Generation in Australia (it's probably been on in Canada for a while). The old Jnr High has been made into a new hightech Community School and Snake (remember, from The Zit Remedy - Joey and Wheels' tall friend) is teaching Media Immersion there (like I.T.). It rocks. They kicked off the series with a reunion special in which Joey and Caitlin's fiancee got into a fight (Caitlin's fiancee was cheating on her and Joey overheard him talking about it)
Great show. They had a whole range of merchandise. I have one of the books still. They used to whack on a Degrassi video in our Personal Development classes (Sex-Ed) at school when they couldn't be bothered teaching us properly!

Degrassi Junior High! such a classic 80s CANADIAN MADE teen show! filmed on location in Toronto. At First there was the Kids of Degrassi Street. then came Degrassi Junior High. and then Degrassi High. Now they have Degrassi : The Next Generation, which in my opinion is horrible! Being Canadian (from Ontario, not far from border with Buffalo) yet only 21, I was only able to see Degrassi High when it was actually on tv.. the other two (Kids of Degrassi St. and Degrassi Junior High) I've seen over the years in re-runs. A former child-actor from Kids of Degrassi St. (the first series) is currently being charged with murder of someone he met in Chinatown in Toronto..
Anyways, on a lighter note. in Degrassi Junior High they show a pair of jeans at the end of the intro with PWT on the label. PWT was the production company for Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High, standing for Playing With Time Productions.
