Hard to believe it turns 20 this year. This was definitely the best Garfield special, and from what I've seen I'm far from the only one who wouldn't mind seeing CBS revive it somehow. Everything about it clicks just right, from the perfect Christmas-on-the-farm setting to the ideal humor (who can blame Dad for being upset about having to read "How Binky the Clown Saved Christmas" to two grown men?) to a surprising amount of warmth (Garfield giving Grandma her love letters is a remarkably sweet moment; who knew he had the capacity for caring?) and great vocal performances all around (Pat "Poor Unfortunate Souls" Carroll as Grandma is a particular riot to listen to). It always was high on my list of specials to catch. And I assume I'm not alone here, am I right?

I love this too, bought it on DVD a couple years back. I always try to watch both Garfield and Charlie Brown Christmas specials every year with the gf, brings back good memories.

I have the holdiay set too! Its hard to say which one I like the best. My daughter seems to favor the Halloween one because she says the scary old man who tells the pirate story REALLY scares her, where most Halloween specials are short on legitimate fright factor.
