The only Thanksgiving movie I can remember is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Is there any others?

I was thinking the same? I'd love to hear if there are some more.

There's "Dutch" from 1991, which was written and produced by John Hughes. It's a bit of a cross between Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Uncle Buck. (though not as good as those films...)

Besides "Planes, Trains...", the only other 80's Thanksgiving movie that I have seen is Woody Allen's Hannah And Her Sisters (1986), which starts with a Thanksgiving and ends with the following year's Thanksgiving.
Movies from other decades with a Thanksgiving scene are: Avalon Soul Food Alice's Restaurant What's Cooking? Home For The Holidays (directed by Jodie Foster)
The 1947 movie Miracle On 34th Street has scenes of the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Last year's movie, called "Thanksgiving", is actually a slasher/killer movie!

What!?!? Dutch is just as good as those movies. I laughed so hard when I saw it. I think I still might be laughing from it...or maybe Uncle Buck.
Never heard of Thanksgiving (the movie, that is). Is it good?

I agree Devo! Great flick. Kinda cool how that kid went on to be Preston in Can't Hardly Wait! Ethan Embry is what he goes by now but in Dutch, I believe he was using a different last name. Just a little trivia for ya'll !

My vote is for Dutch. After the kid knocks Ed O'neil out, they are at a diner. The kid is giving him crap because he can knocked him out.
Ed says: I can do something you can't... I can pay for my breakfast... Later as they are trying to bum a ride, Ed burps and the kid gets a whiff of it and grimaces...
Ed says: Nothing burps like bacon...
Classic...
