Many people on this site LOVE this movie, myself included. It's a classic! I like movies where they clear out parts of an entire city to film scenes...

I agree with you Jdocster, the film has a cool atmosphere because of that feeling in the streets. It's awesome when Samantha and Regina go shopping, to the song Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Posts: 168 | From: Bedfont, England | Registered: Apr 2003 | Site Updates: 0

I think I disliked it when I first saw it also, but after repeat viewings it's become one of my favourites. Samantha, when her gun jams: "Daddy would have gotten us Uzis." "What! You don't believe in Santa?".

I only saw it recently for the first time and I'm sure it's scope was limited by budget, but I thought it had a lot of charm 8/10

Great great movie, it's pure 80's! I got the dvd, shame about no extras on it.

one of my faves. Kelly Mahoney said she approached (the distributor)about doing all the extra's stuff but was snubbed. I think she is still looking into it for a possible blu-ray release ? ? ? ? ?

This is still a classic in my book, is it wrong to consider it a Christmas movie?

It’s available on Tubi to watch free. Also on my local library app (Kanopy). I have added it to my list. Saw it years ago. Due for a rewatch.

I know this is an 80's classic to many. But I just never could get into it. Especially strange considering how much of a B-Movie/Horror fan I am. But idk, just something about this one that never caught my fancy. *shrug

Haven't seen this one in forever but it's a great companion to Fast Times and Valley Girl. Also, doesn't it take place at Christmastime too??
