Have you guys seen previews? This one has Sophia Bush (better known as Brooke on One Tree Hill) in it. It looks decent, at least. But like I said on Jessie's Working Girl post...I'd like to see something different, something that's not been made before.

I guess that Hollywood is just running out of new stuff. There seems to be a ton of remakes on the horizon. Revenge of the Nerds is getting a remake, or at least the last I heard the production had been haulted for some reason. I agree with you petty about wanting to see something new and fresh. I don't like the idea of all of these remakes of our favorites because it kind of takes away from some classics.
I personally don't think that Sean Bean could ever match the evilness of Rutger Hauer. I am sure it will be a smash since all of the horror movies lately have been.
I am curious though to see what the next wave of popularity will be for films. Do you think that teen flick is going to get refreshed like it did in the late 90s??

I have been trying to go and see all of the remakes that have been coming out recently. I'm always curious to see how they "modernize" them. The Hitcher... ahhhh.. man I loved the original. Rutger Hauer was just plain evil. But Sean Bean is an awesome actor. So I am very curious to see what he does with the part.

Loved the original, but if anyone can match up to Rutger Hauer its probably Sean Bean, still think its a tad pointless to remake a clut classic though especially since the movies probably more popular today than it was the first time around.

Rutger Hauer was awesome in the original. I'm not sure that anyone could match his evilness. This is one of those movies that I'll wait for to come on Starz or whatever.

Quite truthfully their ability to continuously do great horror hasn't existed since the mid 80s. They buried the genre under too many cliches and repitition, and now it's (the horror genre) just a pale parody of what it used to be. Every now and then you'll luck out and find a good one today, but having several in a row is just asking for too much, apparently.
