Isn't BIG just one of the greatest movies of all time. It just puts me in a great mood every time I watch it. I read somewhere that they filmed an alternate ending where Elizabeth Perkins' character made a wish to be small so she could be with "Josh Baskin"......I think they should have kept that idea cuz the ending i kinda sad when they have to leave eachother....

I liked the movie too but feel they chose the right ending. Josh wanted to be a kid again because he wasn't ready for adulthood and she knew how hard it was growing up and stayed where she was.
This was the movie that catapulted Tom Hanks into being the mega-star that he is today.

Sorry to burst your bubble Sam, but whilst BIG is a very good movie, the role that put Hanks in the big time was Philadelphia. Before he took on this movie, nobody would ever let him near things like Saving Prvate Ryan, The Green Mile, or Castaway. He's be stuck doing Joe Versus The Volcano for ever.....

I agree with you Paul but I do believe that BIG was a stepping stone. It is such a great movie! Whenever I'm having trouble picking a movie to watch, BIG is usually the one I pick. All around great movie.
