Romancing the Stone and The Jewel of the Nile... anyone pick up the new special editions of thes 2 films yet? I got them and watched them both last weekend. I forgot how fun they both were. Douglas, Turner and DeVito has such great chemistry together. To me, Romancing the Stone is the better of the two movies. I was shocked to see Kathleen Turner on one of the featurettes... she looked horrible. It was hard to believe that it was even her. She was such a good looking woman back in the '80s. Now she looked really bad. She was chubby and her skin looked leathery and splotchy and her voice was very raspy (which I assume was from smoking all these years) and she looked ancient. It is sad to see her like that.

I just bought the new special edition combo pack of the movies. I watched them the other night. The movies are cool. I haven't checked the special features out yet.

I watched jewel of the Nile yesterday for the first time since originally watching it at a movie theatre back in 1985,I found it a lot more entertaining than I initially did when I first watched it all those years back,I think how good romancing the stone was I just came away from the cinema slightly dissapointed.
But now watching it all these years later I have a much better appreciation of it,it's still not as good as romancing but as sequels go it's pretty good.
Douglas, turner and devito sure work well as a team,I've never seen war of the roses but have just added it to my rental list so will hopefully soon be checking that out.

Romancing the Stone is one of the greatest adventure films of all time. I didn´t like Jewel of the Nile very much the last time (2008) i watched it. Couple of good scenes but man it was disappointing and dry as the sand

War Of The Roses is great. It's sarcasm and pitch-black (even morbid) humour taken to the extreme. Totally hilarious !
I have the US blu-ray edition which was released in the 20th Century Fox Director's Signature Series, which looks great, has tons of extra's, and is region-free (even though the sleeve indicates it's region A locked) !

Rewatched Romancing the Stone from blu which included some interesting extra material.
Still like the film, fun adventure feel with great cast, wonderful locations and nice theme tune.
Michael Douglas at his funniest
Maybe it´s finally time to watch War of the Roses, oh how the time flies

I watched Romancing again recently. I enjoyed it, but far less happens that I remembered. I watched Jewel afterwards, and that was almost a train wreck of a movie. If it wasn't for the fun cast and a good theme song there would have been nothing good about the film!
Haven't seen War of the Roses since it first came out.
