Where it says "Die Hard" was originally 'written' as a sequel to "Commando", that's a load of crap foistered by Joel Silver because he utterly despises Roderick Thorp whom he screwed on the rights to the novel "Nothing Lasts Forever", which was written in 1979, way too early to be originally written as a sequel to "Commando". They might've taken the book as an adaptation, but I think it's dishonest and kinda crapy that whenever Silver talks about it, he completely omits the fact that it's based on Thorp's book.
