Who else liked this? I thought it was better than the original. Does anyone know if it's available on DVD?

I still prefer the first Prom Night movie with Jamie Lee Curtis, but I dig the catchy title "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II". The storyline was actually better than the first movie, but I like more of the actors from the original film.

I've been trying to find this one as I like it better than the original. I think Amazon or Ebay has it but I haven't saw it in Best Buy or Wal-Mart around here........

Yes pettyfan, Prom Night II is available on DVD. I bought it last year from Amazon. I love the first Prom Night, it's one of my all time favorites but I have to say the second one is pretty darn great too! I actually let Isis borrow this last year, thinking she would love it but she didn't. I was surprised. It's definitely more on the gory side than the first. I love the begining and how it flashes back to the 50's...and the creepy white rocking horse, man you can beat this! Thanks for bringing it up, I'm going to go and watch it now!

Ok I watched this today after not seeing it for a good 10+ years.........I loved it!
I agree with Valley the storyline is better then the first.......The first is pretty blah in comparison for me?
and the 50's flash backs Cindy are great, I just the think the premise and some of the horror effects were great for the time......the paper cutter the chalkboard?
This was my start of horror month!

Cindymancini let me borrow this movie to watch...I thought it was extremely graphic-that's all I really remember about it, that it was really gross in places. I can't even picture what the girl looked like who was in the movie, or much about the plot line.
I love the original..and this one had nothing to do with that ar all. So, I was never sure why it was called Prom Night 2? Except there is a Prom scene in it.
They could have just dropped the Prom Night from the title and called it : Hello, Mary Lou...or something else...cause that part of the title always seemed not right to me.

Hello Mary Lou is now part of those DVD sets, the ones where you get two or three movies together. I saw it at Walmart, but I got mine last year from Amazon, used. I also think I saw it (new) by itself at FYE, but I'm not certain. I still think it's a good movie. "I've got places to go, people to kill..." Mary Lou was a naughty girl, LOL.
