Wow, I like it. I don't know if I like the "Everything's Duckie" bit but the cover is more interesting than the original. Maybe because we've seen the original cover for sooo long. I can't wait to own this!

Remember people said there was an alternative ending where Duckie and Andy end up together, I have never seen that version, and never knew if that was just a rumour, does anyone know if they have that ending on here, which is why they gave it the name??

And the girl gets a cigar!
Yes, the alternate ending will be on there. I'm interested in seeing it myself. I wish they could've just called it a Special Collector's Edition, though.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff

It's called "Some Kind of Wonderful". I can see the smoke coming out of Paul's ears now. Actually, I wasn't planning on picking this one up, but if the Duck gets some justice in the end, then maybe I should check it out.
I really wish movie studios would come out with the best possible editions on the first attempt, because they burn me all the time with the so called "Special Edition" that is released a few years after the bare bones original is released. I realize why they do it, but it still costs me extra coin quite often. Though I will skip most "Special Editions" unless they really offer something extremely unique.

Was there a DVD release of Pretty in Pink before this one?? I never bought it, so I'll buy this one, cause I also like to see all the special footage.

Aw man....like Valley, I too get burned when I buy a DVD an then a better one comes along a few months maybe even years later. That is so not fair!
When Walk The Line came out, there was like three different versions with special stuff and it made me so mad. Why can't they just put all that stuff together in one package?

I bought the original Pretty in Pink from Best Buy about a year ago for $9.99. They release edition after edition of DVD's to keep hoarding money from the consumer. A good example of this is Blackhawk Down. I bought this when it first came out a couple of years ago and as of right now, there's been like 4 different other "extra special" editions to come out which is ridiculous since they had all the material to release a full DVD when they released the first one.....

They do that alot I have noticed, Hell I will double dip on this one and I will be triple dipping on the Halloween 1. I am sure when they put these all out on HD DVD I will be buying them all then too.

I'd known about this and the 'Bueller...Bueller' edition for 'Ferris Buellers Day Off' hence didn't get burned, but yeah, it irks me having to buy the same thing twice (at least Kevin Smith acknowledged it on the 'Chasing Amy' SE). I actually prefered the orignal 'PIP' cover, this one's too...pink.
As for 'Blackhawk Down', even though I kinda hated the movie (great visuals but surprisingly boring and 2-dimensional story / characters) I bought the deluxe edition which had a good documentary about what actually happened (I can only say that Ridley Scott took tremendous liberties / dramatic license with the truth in his film).

The cover is cool, but the part of "Everything's Duckie Edition" on the title I don't know I like it. They could have named it Collector's Edition or something like that.
But hey I want to see the original ending, and I hope it has extras because the edition I have doesn't have any extras.

If it does have the alternate ending where Duckie gets the girl, I could see why the called it "Everything's Duckie Edition". I would have rather seen the "Everything's Steff Edition" myself.

I am just stoked they have all come out here in Australia - FINALLY! However am very jealous about the potential altnerate ending! Always wondered why Andrew McArthy looked like he had a racoon on his head!

I hate the way they are naming special editions now days with sappy titles like Airplane: Don't Call Me Shirley Editon, Princess Bride: The Dred Pirate edition or The Buttercup Edition (which is the same friggin' movie on both versions, just differnt covers!) This seems to be the new fad. I hate it, hate it, hate it! I keep buying the same movies over and over because a new and improved edition comes out. I wish they would stop the insanity! My friends call me a "box" collector instead of a movie collector because I've been known to pick up the same movie again when it's realeased with cooler cover art. And now I hear that there are new editions of the Lord Of The Rings comming out with material which is not in the special collector's editions that I have!
