I can't believe I have never seen this movie...I started watching it on regular tv last night..right in the middle of it, and it was GREAT...I gotta watch it from the beginning...is it out on DVD?? The 2 guys that were in it...the one was the special effects guy-they are from the movie Ski School...they must like school. I couldn't believe how many people I recognized in that movie. I loved their clothes, everyone looked clean cut and had the cutest clothes on. I just don't understand how anyone who lived during the 80's, how they find clothes today...I want my clothes back so bad, but they wore out...and you get rid of stuff...If I would have known that there was nothing coming along to replace everything...I would have hung on to every piece of clothing I ever had.
I loved the scene in Summer School...where they looked like they had all been murdered, and the 2 goofy guys were running around with chain saws...the special effects on that were pretty cool. I was shocked to see the actress that played Ms. Wilder on Little House on the Prairie was the one teacher.
I loved Kristie Alley's sweater and skirt she was wearing at the end when they were on the beach, and I loved Mark Harmon's white shirt and jeans he had on.
I thought it was funny...the whole thing with dog, and the doll head...but in the end they were reunited.
I want to watch it again!!

I just looked the cast up on IMDB...and the one guy I was talking about from Ski School and Summer School is : Patrick Labyorteaux...I knew I knew him from somewhere...he was Andrew Garvey on Little House on the Prairie...funny how he and Ms. Wilder were in this movie....
Dean Cameron is the other guy, and on imdb it said he use to be Eric Stoltz's roommate, and that he drove Eric to the Fast Times auditions, and he read for the part of Mike Damone.
I always think the casting part of a movie is so cool, because once you see the movie, you can not picture anyone else ever playing that part but them.
I love the cast of this movie...
Shawnee Smith, Kelly Jo Minter, Courtney Thorne- Smith and Ken Olandt....
I love Ken from April Fool's Day-I thought he looked younger looking in Summer School than he did in April Fool's Day...and it came out a year later...there were so many movies like this that were made one after another...that all these people got to make alot of movies that were similiar...now they don't make anything like them any more.

Summer School is on DVD. I know it's been out for at least a year. I think Mark Harmon is a very underrated actor. I read an article about him on the internet and how he thought his political affiliation (he's a Republican) has caused him to not be able to get more roles....

No way I can't believe you haven't seen this one. I am pretty positive it is on DVD. I love to watch it whenever it is on. In fact, it was just on last night and I caught most of it. I love all of the different people in it, Kirstie Alley, Mark Harmon, Shawnee Smith, and Courtney Thorne-Smith.
It seems that I catch something new everytime I rewatch this one.

It is shocking to me that you have never seen this movie. I memorized it when I was 14. I was on all the time. I bought it when it came out on DVD. It's 10 bucks everywhere now.

A friend got it for me...he recorded it off HBO the other day...the day I was actually watching it...which he never knew I never saw it when he recorded it...so that's pretty cool! I can't wait to watch it from beginning to end.

It's definitely on DVD. I have it, and I watched it last summer for the first time in many years. It's still as good as it ever was. Summer School truly is an unsung '80s classic.

I can't believe you have never seen this one. I have seen it over a hundred times. I had a real thing for Courtney Thorne-Smith when this came out and they covered Texas Chainsaw Massacre quite a bit in the movie too.

I am getting it soon on DVD...I am excited to watch it from the beginning...I liked when the one guy got a good grade at the end, and did better than the other one...and the special effects guys he yells at him, and says something like "how could you do that to me"...and his friend said...I know I can do worse than that. It was like...give me a chance, I know I can fail.

It was on yesterday morning, and I caught it from midway through it, but saw more than I had the first time, I am dying to watch the whole thing from start to finish. I think it could be on the list of my top favorite movies now. I love when Chainsaw and his friend are writing their essay on Rick Baker...and write...and that's why we admire Rick Baker...very, very, very, very......much (well they added a few more very's in there)...and then say..100 words exactly.
I loved that cast of people. Mark Harmon was way cute in that movie...I love when they arrest him and throw him in jail on his rollerskates...and he skates in and says "don't you guys have a cell for beginners" (cause they threw him in with all the hard nosed criminals)..then he holds up a pack a gum, and says "who wants gum".
I loved the part where they caught his couch on fire, and everyone was standing there...dumping like 1 tiny cup of water on it.
I think it is a great SUMMER movie. I can't wait to watch it over and over this summer!

This is so weird Isis! I pulled out my Summer School DVD a week ago and I've probably watched it or just had it on in the background while I'm doing stuff at least 3 times. It's one of those movies that once you see it, you want to watch it over and over because it's so fun and summery!
