I think 1989 was its release year. Anyway, I have a soft spot for John Goodman's screen premiere as the American King of England. While the plot can get a little predictable, they came up with several great moments, starting with the opening electrocution of the entire royal family (but at least they got the photo anyway). My favorite moment has to be when Goodman's bowling in his room and rolls a gutter ball that shatters a priceless vase like over 800 years old. Great supporting cast in Peter O'Toole, John Hurt, and Richard Griffiths, among others. Anyone else like it?

Haven't seen this movie in years. I remember the electrocution and bowling scenes though. I must watch it again cause i don't remember much of it.
