I faintly remember watching an 80's film at a very young age and can only remember it kinda being a teen flick and it strangely seemed to be set in space or along those lines. I remember them all going to a party but it seemed as though it was in space, very strange?
Does that ring any bells with anyone? I know the description is very faint but as i say i was very young and it's a film thats always played on my mind.

Was it The Last Starfighter? There were a lot of teens in that moive. They had a party on a beach and then there was a giant celebration for them in space in the end.
I know there were party scenes in Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon and Battlestar Galactica....but they weren't really teen flicks.

Some good suggestions but i don't think any of the above are what i'm thinking of.
I do remember a scene where the teens are kinda driving up to this colourful building which seemed to be in space (but maybe it wasn't?) As they were driving upto this building though they wern't driving on a road as i remember it? It was like a planet in space and everything was lit up like it were in Vegas but you could still see all the stars and darkness in the background.
Thats about as best i could describe it?
