Most of you know that I'm an 80's movie buff, but I was thinking that everyone has a movie that might surprise their friends to mention that have never seen before or at least watched all of it.
I'll start with a shocker....
I've never seen "Raiders Of The Lost Ark". I had numerous chances, but if it was on a movie channel back in the 80's, I'd always say I wanted to wait until I could watch it from the beginning. Then time past by and I never went back and watched it. I've seen the sequels, but never the original.
Please tell Bionic Bigfoot I'm sorry.
What about you?

I don't know if it's technically 80's, but I've never seen any of the star wars movies.

Same here, I've seen bits of the older ones and (unfortunately) all of the first two prequels. I didn't like the prequels, but I'm sure the older ones were better.
Let's see...I've never seen Friday the 13th, St. Elmo's Fire, Better Off Dead, Lucas, any Corey movie other than Lost Boys (not including movies with only one Corey), Weird Science, any of the Indiana Jones movies, Day of the Dead or any of the trilogy, Night of the Living Dead, Dirty Dancing, The Elephant Man, Fast Times at Ridgmont High, Heathers, The Howling, Lethal Weapon, and I'm sure much more that'll get a, "*gasp!* Got out and rent it NOW!!!"
It's cool, if I'm really in the mood to see something I'll see it. I've gotta get me a copy of See No Evil, Hear No Evil. Good flick. I should rent more Gene Wilder stuff.

Spooka Lupa - See No Evil Hear No Evil isn't actually as good as you might think. Of all the Wilder / Pryor movies, this is my least favorite.
I was wondering on the real purpose of this thread - can we use it to shame people into watching these movies? If so, I have a few edicts to issue.
Firstly, Sam, you HAVE to watch ROTLA. It's way better than the others, IMHO.
John, I'm stunned that you've not seen Some Kind Of Wonderful, The Sure Thing, or Planes Trains and Automobiles. I expect to see a correction issued on that score soon, and an apology for being so lax!
Back to you, Lupa (thought you'd escaped, didn't you!): Weird Science and FTARH are the ones for you - we'll get to the rest of your list later.
For shame.....

Wow!!! I can't believe some of you have never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark. That's one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a staple in my life. I've seen it a hundred times. The music, acting, and story rules.
Let's see, I've never seen: Dirty Dancing (I saw a couple of parts) Short Circuit Robocop (I saw a couple of parts) Some Kind of Wonderful
For those who only saw The Temple of Doom and no other Indy films, do not assume that the others are like it. Raiders is 10 times better than The Temple of Doom. I liked Temple of Doom, but it seemed more geared towards kids. Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade are totally different and better. Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best out of all of them.

I'm trying to think of a film I haven't seen but nothing comes to mind. I know I've seen all the classics and some of the obscure, but I need some mre titles thrown out because my mind is blank at this point!

I get excited reactions from people when I tell them I've never seen:
When Harry Met Sally I'm Gonna Get You Sucka HairSpray Diner
Until recently I hadn't seen Drugstore Cowboy. What an excellent movie! I'm kinda glad I didn't see that when it was released because I don't think I would have appreciated the signifigance of the film as a 15 year old. Matt Dillon was great as always.

Never seen ‘Top Gun’?...I’m lost for words, they’re all laughing at you, look at em’ laughing...
As for me... ‘Valley Girl’ (apologies to my wingman) ‘Friday The 13th’, ‘Better Off Dead’, ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, ‘Who’s That Girl?’ and the one I’m most proud of...‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ (only because the Video store used the alternative title ‘Boy Rents Girl’ so I always thought it was a movie about hookers).
Valley, dude, watch 'Raiders...' will you, its the best one.

Wow, some interesting revelations on this thread. Kash, my wingman, is a bit bent out of shape about my Raiders Of The Lost Ark confession. And to think he missed "Boy Rents Girl" because he thought it dealt with a little extra nightlife. I think he might of just lost that lovin' feeling. Dude, you have to find "Better Off Dead" as well, those hamburgers do a great Van Halen "Everybody Wants Some".
Sam, I actually own the Special Collectors Edition of E.T., but I've only watched it one more time than you. If you phone home often and love Reese's Pieces then you might want to watch this movie. Otherwise, just pop in Meatballs II and enjoy the real E.T.,,,,,,,Meathead.
I'm sadden that so many of our friends in the UK haven't had the chance to watch "Valley Girl" and judge if they like it for themselves. But AnGel EyeZ, your from NJ JerzShoreBaby....you need to watch this movie and then get back to us.

Reporter: Robo, excuse me, Robo, any special message for all the kids watching at home? RoboCop: Stay out of trouble.

I was thinking and I only saw parts of Rumble Fish starring Matt Dillon. I guess I will have to get that on DVD and try again.
