I love this movie too. Patrick Dempsey was great back in the '80s and early '90s, but now I find him totally annoying. I was recently forced to sit through his latest atrocious vehicle, Made of Honor (an hour and 40 mins. I won't be getting back). I liked him better when he didn't take himself so seriously and wasn't trying to be "McDreamy" or whatever.

I didn't see this movie until about a year or two ago on a tip from this site. I fell in love with it right away! I agree that it is tough sometimes to get in to dated movies when you haven't seen them before. You really have to open your mind up and let go to give a lot of these movies a chance. If you do that you will find many gems out there.
