I saw this film last night and I loved it. I can't believe I haven't seen this film before, especially considering Robert De Niro is one of my favourite actors.
This is definitely going on my "to get list".
What does everyone else think of this flick?

Loved it.I think this movie was Rob's first attempt at a bit of comedy.Because despite its action scenes,it does have some hilarious dialogue and scenes, especially when DeNiro and Yaphet Kotto are on screen together. I guess this movie is proof once again that Beverly Hils Cop director Martin Brest knows what he's doing when it comes to action comedy.Oh and best line of all for me,has to be John Ashton to Yaphet when he continually steals his smokes... ''why don't ya quit....it'd be cheaper for both of us''. Superb stuff.

Always loved Midnight Run! It´s one of the best "buddy" movies with a twist. Great actors, action and some very funny scenes and lines. Brest directed only two movies in the 80s, both classics.

The best in the genre: perfectly written, well-balanced, great actors. It doesn't really have that typical 80's feel though, so maybe some people here will see that as a bit of a disappointment.

My folks and I helped to create the 10 minutes or so of the flying plane sequence. Was filmed 25 north of the trading post (Navajo res) where I lived and worked (25 miles north of Flagstaff, AZ). The production crew "leased" 20 or so cars from our impound lot for the improvised runway. Also, some other various props were also rented. We were treated very well on the set as VIP guests. Have a picture or two of Robert in our store.
