It was a low budget horror movie from the 80's with Melissa Newman, Meg Tilly and Elizabeth Dailey. I've never seen it, but it just came out on DVD and was wondering if anyone else might have an opinion.

I have always heard of it but never been able to find it on TV or the rental store. I didn't know it had been released on DVD. Thanks for the info...

MotleyRulz, I've read a few reviews today about this movie and most of them have been positive. I think I'll try to find it this week. I'll let everyone know what I think about it later.
Surely, mamamiasweetpeaches has seen "One Dark Night" because she's a horror movie buff.

Like Phantasm II it rates as a "Really Good B-Movie that nobodys seen in years" because its been out of print on VHS for decades and unavailable on DVD.
I agree with whoever did the page writeup here, it plays upon peoples inherent fears or squeamishness about Funerals and Cemetaries and Mausoleums.
Whithout giving away any spoilers, the last segment of the film will definately creep you out, lets just say "peoples fears of rotting corpses" comes into play.
Creepy is a good way to put the film. I also have it on order and am looking forward to seeing it for the first time in ages.....
Now if they can just release The Keep, Phantasm II, and Night OF The Comet, I'll be a happy camper.

So I got my copy of one dark night a couple of days ago. It's a two-dvd set! Who knew? But get this: it says it's a limited edition with a 35-mm film scrap in it. now I'm afraid to open it lest it be a collector's item in a few years! But I wanna watch it! what do I do?
Wah.

Mr. Tia, I have search all over town for this movie. You have to open it and if you survive please post about it. I was hoping to find it, but it might have to make my journey through The Rewind links...(Nick & Paul notice the plug) .... and make this purchase.
The 35mm scrap is way cool!

I just got mine in the mail today. I ordered mine from amazon. There is a 35mm scrap inside it. It's pretty cool. I'm gonna watch it tonight and I'll let you all know what I thought.

I'm so jealous 80'sfreak. I almost ordered it off Amazon, but I like to order several movies at once if I order from them. I really thought Suncoast or Best Buy would have this movie, but I'm so without.
I know it's a low budget horror movie, but sometimes those can be even creepier than a megablockbuster. I really like the cast.
Let us know if you enjoyed it.

I pre ordered mine off AMAZOn awhile back and it came last week so those of you who used AMAZON should be gettin it soon.
I watched it Saturday. I hate to say "No Great Shakes". It really didn't move me. I couldn't help but think of PHANTASM while I watched it and PHANTASM was a lot more fun and creepy to me.

Thanks for the review mamamiasweetpeaches. Less than encouraging, however I still want to get this movie and watch it because of the awesome cast. They said low budget, but sometimes low budget makes the movie even creepier.

valley I watched the movie this past weekend and was very disappointed. I know a lot of people love it but I didn't find it scary at all. You can tell it was low budget though. If you'd like to see the movie send me a pm or email me and I will mail you my copy since I don't plan on ever watching it again.

NowhereGirl, I'm not saying don't do it, but make sure you don't get all your friends to buy it and then they never speak to you again. Wait I already did that.
