Does anyone know if these films are going to get a DVD re-release anytime? I don't fancy paying a small fortune (up to $125) for them on eBay as they're out of print :(

No time soon as far as I know, I was lucky enough to pick them up for 6 bucks each at circuit city one day, why did they go out of print so fast. I was hoping for a special edition, but all of Hughes films are so bare bones and it makes me mad. I want deleted footage, commentary, trailers and more. Oh well, maybe you will find them cheap.

Unfortunately I'm in the UK where these films aren't available on DVD anyway, so I have to import them - anyone able to help? All the online stores I've found don't stock them or list them as out of print, and the eBay prices are just silly :(

Is it just me, or does everyone think that eBay vistors seem to be big 80's fans? Just browse through the VHS section, and you'll see that the only genre that gets more bids than 80's movies is the dodgy porn vids. You can get a lot of modern stuff for next to nothing, but right in the midst of it all will be a copy of Howard The Duck for about £25, followed by Buckaroo Banzai for £40!!
There's just no telling how many tapes I would have bought, had they been reasonably priced.
