I watched it last night. I remember watching it in high school with my cousin, and that we really liked, but all I could remember about it was the Silver Shamrock Halloween masks and the commercials, and that the logo chip on the masks had a computer chip in them and when they watched the commercial on Halloween, snakes and bugs came out of their heads, and it was gross.
But...I watched it last night...and I had totally forgot the rest of the movie, and even watching it, I couldn't remember what was going to happen, cause it has been 20 years since I saw it. But, it was really good.
I know that it confused people because they wanted to know where Michael Meyers was, but when John Carpenter and Debra Hill did Halloween, their intent was to do an entirely different movie that had nothing to do with the others, and the only link would be that it takes place at Halloween. Which actually is a way cool idea....they should have done the Michael Meyers sequels seperate...and still came up with more horror movies based on Halloween.
The cool thing was...in Halloween 3, there were a couple scenes where the Halloween with Michael Meyers was playing on the tv ...so that was pretty cool.
Some of the special effects in this movie were so gross...it is about this guy who runs a novelty shop/factory called Silver Shamrock, and he's super rich, and he comes up with this crazy way of killing people on Halloween....boy did he give me the creeps. The Silver Shamrock masks though were totally cool masks...I remember thinking how well they were made 20 years ago, but even today...they are made better than any mask I have seen. It is a wonder they didn't actually market them.
The end is really kind of freaky...I thought it was really cool...the way they did it.
I know C.T. loves this movie. Has anyone else seen it, and what did you think? It is a real good one to watch at Halloween.

Hated it! HAd nothing to do with the Halloween films or stories. They tried to fool us by calling it Halloween when it was just a crappy film. I didnt like it obviously....

Don't hold back Pumpkin Head with an i, tell us how you really feel.
I was one of the people that was duped into going to see Halloween 3 when it opened in my town on Halloween Night back in 1982. Needless to say, I was hugely disappointed. No Michael Myers anywhere in the movie made my friends and I feel extremely cheated.
This movie might be a decent movie, but presenting it as #3 was my problem. They cashed in on the teenage crowd, but the backlash that I remember was pretty brutal. So I guess it even out ya know.
No offense C. T., I know you love this movie.

It sucked big time. I never understood why they even made part 3 the way they did...

It was okay. I have the DVD, got it at Sam's Club along with When a Stranger Calls Back, for like $10. Is it the best movie I've ever seen? No (that would be The 'Burbs). Is it the worst I've ever seen? No (that would be Hunt for Red October). I always liked the song they sang...Three more days till Halloween Halloween Halloween Three more days till Halloween Silver Shamrock. Like you, Isis, I had forgotten about the rest of the movie until I watched it again.

Yay..ISIS finally watch The Movie..and she liked it OH-HAPPY-DAY!!!
I Never Said It Was The Best HALLOWEEN or HORROR movie..But i grew up watching this movie every halloween night as a kid. And it does'nt feel like HALLOWEEN without watching Halloween 1, 2 & 3. I like the old man who runs the SILVER SHAMROCK Co. (MR. COCHRAN) especially when he has the doctor tied up to watch the Killer Commerical...and just as he walks off he turns around and says.... "Oh...HAVE A HAPPY HALLOWEEN"! and that creepy music plays. THANKS ISIS for giving this movie a chance..the fact you remembered i love this movie and you picked it up, ment a lot to me . I'm wating untill halloween night before i watch this.
