I saw this at Blockbuster tonight and I was shocked ! I have never seen it but was intrigued by the description on the back of the dvd. Should I rent it or is it a bomb?

I can send it to you. I never could finish it...I don't know why...I liked how it started...but there was something totally creepy about it...that bothered me, and I don't even remember what it was...I think it was the thing that was killing the people.
**** Van Patten is in it, and the guy that played Matthew Star (who I always thought was cute). If you want it...I'll send it to you.

It wasnt D!ck Van Patten..;.one of his sons...I think Vincent Van Patten.
I wanted to love this movie....I mean: LINDA BLAIR!!!
But a lot of The Monster is so dark ya cant see anything. I remember I once read an imdb review and someone said "The Monster is so scary...I will never forget what he looks like" I had to watch the movie in broad daylight sober and PAUSE IT to see the monster. His time actuially in a well-lit shot is about 12 seconds!!!!!

I always wanted to see this. By the time I got around to buying it from Amazon, it was out of stock. It never comes on Showtime or Cinemax or HBO. Maybe someday...

I have this on VHS. First time I watched this was on a Saturday night around midnight with my mom. We had the lights off and everything. I remember one scene scared the crap out of both of us. I'm not sure who jumped the highest or screamed the loudest. LOL!

I own this one on VHS, but I never finished watching it, it just wasn't as good as I thought. I think the Vincent Van Patten guy was in Rocknroll High School.

Cool that this thread came back around cause it reminded me that I never did get to see Hell Night back in 2006 when I originally posted...Maybe now, I'll have to scope it out.
