I have been watching Dan Akyrod on the TV Guide channel talking about the release of the 25th anniversary DVD. I guess Jim Belushi does stuff as John Belushi's Blues Brothers character...they look alot alike, and it is weird to see him doing that character. I have yet to watch the Blues Brothers the whole way through it...but it is one 80's movie that my husband and son love and watch it all the time.

What I like about this release is that they give you both the regular theatrical version and John Landis's special extended Director's Cut (which explains that the Bluesmobile can do its incredible stunts becuase Elwood "charges" it by parking it under the L's power grid). He would have made it an even longer extended version had Universal not destroyed much of the footage earlier. And we get a nice tribute to the fans and tribute bands out there trying to carry on the legacy. A must have for diehard fans.
