Hey Guys - New on this board and thought I might mention an awesome film on HBO that starts Uma Thurman & Juliette Lewis who star as twenty somethings looking for love in all the right places - set in 1980s New Jersey. Tons of cool 80's hits and fashions... Anyone seen it? Whatcha think???

I watched it. I like the way Juliette Lewis looked as an 80s' girl so I thought Id give it a try. The movie had a great soundtrack too..I haven't heard 'Ain't Nobody' by Chaka Kahn in years, I think those two captured the average young, lower middle-class woman in the mid 80s' NJ than anyone could.

That movie was about as pointless as being young and living in NJ in the 1980s.

I don't think I could possibly agree with you anymore..in fact I said that exact same thing to someone who watched it today for the first time: "Whats the point to this movie". The whole thing is really just a showcase for Juliette and Uma's talents..but there really wasn't enough of a story in women in NJ in the 80s' to make a movie...tell that to HBO.
