The Smurf movie is going to be CGI animation and it will be in 3-D! That sounds just awesome. I'm fired up.

The Smurfs were originally not in CGI, so they should stick with the original style of animation (that is, cel drawings/paintings).

Heh heh, imagining a cartoon turned into 3D animation makes me think of video game animation, or straight-to-video Casper movies. Hey, if it works for them . . .
I didn't really like the Smurfs. I don't know, there was something off about them. One girl in the whole population? How does that work?

John Lithgow has an awesome voice. I like him. (Well, anyone who worked on Shrek was good with voice work.)

For some reason I'm thinking Darrell Hammond, I don't know why. If they wanted to go older, maybe Max Wright or even Alan Rickman (since I've guessing Gargamel may have been a Slytherin--albeit not one the house would love to talk about in the accomplishment section).
