What 80s vampire films are out there?

I have:

Lifeforce
Mr Vampire
Near Dark
Once Bitten
Teen Vamp
The Lair of the White Worm
The Lost Boys
Vamp
Vampires Kiss

I've yet to get "My Best Friend is a Vampire". edit: discovered it's available on UK DVD under the title "I Was a Teenage Vampire" real cheap.

A great 80s indie vampire movie is "To Die For" (no, its not the Nicole Kidman movie.)

"My best friend is a Vampire" is a treasured favorite of mine. Love it.

Transylvania 6-5000 includes a vampire (sorta)--Does that count?

How 'bout Fright Night?

Good call Obscurus Lupa, I think this hot weather is getting to me because I have "Transylvania 6-5000" and "Fright Night" VHSs but plain forgot about the vampire aspects of them, along those lines you could also include "The Monster Squad" which I also have.

JimBrayFan, I'll look into "To Die For", thanks.

What about Salem's Lot...wasn't that about Vampires??? I was never quite sure...cause the previews alone terrified me too much that I could never watch it...I have tried to pick it up to watch on different occassions....and find myself turning around and sticking it back on the shelf.

Salem's Lot came out in the late 70's if I'm not mistaken. You should watch it. It's cool.

Salems Lot is loooooooooooooooooooong (Isnt it like 4 hours long?) I had a guy I liked come over to watch a movie and rented that figuring it would give us four hours together!
Since it's so long it sorts of drags in the moments theres not a lot of action: but some of the imagery when there IS action is totally freakin' creepy! I will never forget that scary looking little boy floating outside the bedroom window! (Starts to cry)
Incidentally, they re-made it recently with Rob Lowe, but I say if you want to watch SALEMS LOT your better off with the 70s David Soul version.

The Hunger
Graveyard Shift(1987) (not the Stephen King movie)

I thought the second Graveyard Shift was pretty decent. They were making a vampire movie.. loved the meta references.

What about the truly dire "I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle" which may have been late 80's / early 90's? A must have for any Vampire movie collector...

Love At First Bite (1979) is an almost-80s vampire comedy. Arte Johnson kinda steals the show as igoresque sidekick Renfield. There is one great scene where George Hamilton (in bat form) nearly ends up in a cookpot.

I only recently found out about The Lost Boys from the computer game "Bloodlines" which has some clever references to the movie. When you tell Corey Feldman to emulate John Rambo something very funny is bound to happen.

On a side note, I still can't believe they cast Christopher Lee as "Count Dooku" in Star Wars Episode II. That is such an obvious nod to his previous role as Count Dracula.
