I just found this on the net, I am so there!!!
'Breakfast Club' Cast to Reunite on MTV May 28, 2005 9:07 AM EDT NEW YORK - Don't you forget about "The Breakfast Club." At the 2005 MTV Movie Awards, to air June 9, the network plans to reunite the cast of the classic '80s movie, the cable channel said Friday.
Though Emilio Estevez, who played Andrew Clark, isn't confirmed, in attendance will be Molly Ringwald (Claire Standish), Ally Sheedy (Allison Reynolds), Anthony Michael Hall (Brian Johnson) and Judd Nelson (John Bender).
The 1985 film was directed by John Hughes, who had a string of hit films starring young people during the decade, among them "Sixteen Candles," "Weird Science," "Pretty in Pink" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
Yellowcard will perform the film's theme song, "Don't You Forget About Me," from the 1985 film. The song was originally recorded by Simple Minds.
This year's awards will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon. To be taped June 4 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the show's scheduled performers include Mariah Carey, Eminem and Nine Inch Nails.

This was bound to happen sooner or later, and what better timing than the 20th anniversary. How about Paul Gleason and John Kapelos?

The article really doesn't say much. I think they need to get them all together to talk about the filmming and tell funny stories of things that happenend during the production. We will see if MTV can make it happen.

The only way you could get me to watch this is if they included the announcement that MTV was going back to the 80s and a line-up of nothing but music videos.
The reunion of the cast of a modern classic belongs on a Turner Classic Movies special, not on some half-assed movie awards special designed for people who...
Oh, the Hell with it. I'm too tired to vent. Enjoy the show...I'll stick with my DVD of the movie.
Sincerely,
John Kilduff...

Nine Inch Nails dropped out because of some kind of pic they were gonna use of Bush during their song. I think Foo Fighters took their place...

I just missed it!! Dang! I'll have to rewatch it. I was just watching the movie "Closer"..and my husband and son watched some of it(the movie awards), and I said "why didn't you guys tell me it was on?" and they said cause I was watching a movie.
But, they probably will replay it right after. Cause I think they normally do.
They said some new group sang the song "Don't you forget about me"....and they said it was horrible, and they totally stunk. They said it was just Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and I think Anthony Michael Hall...
I just want to see that much of it. The rest of the people-including the presenters, don't thrill me...I just saw Paul Walker- he's the only good looking guy I have seen on MTV....since the 80's.

AWWWWW I missed it too, Isis. I meant to watch it. Maybe it'll be back on. I think they usually replay those. But they had Anthony Michael Hall on the radio yesterday and he told some of what happened. He said that Emilio Estevez did not make it but that Judd Nelson was there, but he hardly saw him and that when it got time for them to get up there they couldn't find him and they don't know what happened to him. I thought that was funny. He was really funny on the radio show too. He kept on doing weird voices.

That is weird that they couldn't find Judd, maybe he was in the bathroom.
I thought maybe they would replay it last night, but they had a post show on, and Tom Cruise was on there talking about War of the Worlds. I still haven't decided if that looks actually good or not- the effects do, but the story looks severely depressing....I still say all the summer "Blockbuster" type movies all have that dark, depressing look to them.
After the post show, Brittany Spears show came on...I was trying to figure out what the heck that was all about, and she is a total idiot. What a role model, she smokes, and talks like a truck driver, and talks about how much anger she has, and that she'd like to punch people in the face-I thought what the heck does she have to be angry about?? That just makes me sick when people that have 0 talent, and are multi millionaires, and have people kissing their butt all day long...act like they have reasons to hate the world. Her husband, Kevin, he looks like a bum. But when you see them together they totally deserve each other...cause they both look like trash. When she has no make up on, she isn't even close to cute. I couldn't stand to watch 1 more second of that show. MTV is garbage and that is all they ever play now.

I saw the awards, they were ok. Judd was sick and had to leave before the show. They said Molly was talking about the 16 candles sequel and how she wanted to be in it. Maybe she needs some money.....
Anyway, I saw part of Britney too. I would say what I think about her but this sight is for the whole family so I'll just leave that to your imaginations!

It will be re-airing on Saturday June 11, I already have it set to record it because I missed the original airing also. I can't wait to see what they did when they got them all back together. Even if some are missing it's going to be all good.

Just check your guide they will replay the MTV Movie Awards all weekend long. I thought the tribute was great, but no Judd Nelson or Emilio Estevez made it a little ackward though. They did a great tribute with scenes from the movie as the band Yellow Card did a updated rendition of "Don't You Forget About Me". I thought it was way cool and if you look closely you will see Alley Sheedy starting to cry because it touched her so much.
It's about 3/4 of the way through the Awards Show and any fan of the movie will want to see it. Judd Nelson was there and he had spiked hair that was out there even for him. Too bad he got sick, I hope he's ok..because he looks bad in the photo.

Oh I forgot to add that Principal Vernon and Carl The Janitor were there too.

I just have been looking at the red carpet pictures....and it is funny how the apparel can go from an evening gown to a pair of jeans. Some of the dresses were ugly...the 70's psychedelic crazy looking prints- to that bohemian garbage bag look...yuck...I thought the prettiest girl in the red carpet pictures was Maggie Grace- I never heard of her...it said she was from "Lost"- she looked really nice.
The Breakfast Clubbers looked cute- they looked better than some of the younger people. Mr. Vernon looked pretty rough....but not as bad as Judd Nelson...how could they have possibly lost him, I think with that hairdo.. he would not be blending in to the woodwork. Maybe he was "lost" on purpose.
Again...in all the pictures...there were no cute guys but Paul Walker and Nick Lachey- but Jessica Simpson looked awful- her hair reminded me of the alien in "Alien" The way it was pulled back on the top like that.
Anyway...I hope to actually see at least that portion of the show( with the Breakfast Clubbers) Ally Sheedy looked good in the pictures, actually they all looked good but Judd-he looked like some guy that just got out of the psyche ward after some major shock therapy .
Half of the people there I had no clue who they even were. I am not sure what their claim to fame is.

Some claim to be good actors and actresses. About 1/4 of them are actually good actors and actresses. Some claim to be talented musicians. About 1/3 of those are actually talented musicians. The Foo Fighters are the 1/3 of the good musicians. Sorry Mariah and Eminem. You both suck. LOL...

Oh CT-I could not agree more on the song. I just got to see it...and it was awful to watch the awards show from the beginning...I forced my mom to watch it too, and she looked like she was going to throw up when Eminem sang that awful song, and they had those puppet type women things in the back ground- that was AWFUL, I can't believe someone thinks that garbage up, and not 1 person says ...this is pure junk and no way are we putting this on tv...nope...nobody has any morals what so ever...and when Eminem was completely ruining the song "Mockingbird"...and said if that Mockingbird don't sing, I am going to break it's neck...my mom said all he did was ruin a nice song. And that to me was so pathetic and sad...that this is what we have now for entertainment. It is awful.
I thought that thing Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson did...where they were giving out advice on how to be cool- or whatever that was...and they beat up that young kid, that was NOT funny...infact...I had to stop watching it...because it was senseless and stupid.
I have NO desire to see Napoleon Dynamite- that guy is beyond annoying...when they pulled the Batman mask off and it was him, why does he squint his eyes shut like that for...that is bizarre.
The only thing good was the Star Wars thing they did..that was OK-not fantastic...but it didn't make me as disgusted as the rest of the whole thing did.
And I HATED that "version" of Don't you forget about me...that is suppose to be singing, and that is suppose to be music??? It is making me so sad to see what a mess everything really is.
The best part was seeing Ally Sheedy's face in the audience, and her and Anthony Michael Hall and Molly Ringwald holding hands together, and Ally looked like she was crying.
I was so glad to see Richard Vernon be the one to give them the award. The one that hasn't changed at all is the janitor.
I turned it off right after that.
I can't stand to see people like "Fat Joe"..be a multi millionaire- and have not one shred of talent in anything about him, he's just purely disgusting.
Dakota Fanning--gave a better acceptance speech than any of the adults. She looks like a young Jodie Foster.
I am so sick of the fake boob thing...I mean everything they did had big boobs in it...women go get implants like they are going to get their nails done..it is just so flaky.
When we saw that big giant tank like thing for the Batmobile- me and my mom were like...what is that...the old Batman series was cool...that thing was just so overly done, and I didn't think it was even close to cool...and I wish Andy D1ck's 10 minutes of fame was over already...I wish those girls would have dropped him on his head. He's one of the top most annoying people on the planet.
Anytime they can't come up with a joke...they throw in the f-word and then bleep it out...and people laugh like they never heard anything so funny...like everyone doesn't say that word every other word any more...so why when you hear it on anything...do people laugh hysterically..man,is that's so stupid.
I only watched all of that for The Breakfast Club..and it was not worth it in the slightest...the only thing cool was seeing all the clips from the movie.

I still can't get the award show out of my head...my mom and I were talking about it...talking about how someone had to spend money to make those horrible outfits those people wore during that Eminem thing...and someone had to actually put alot of time and effort in to sewing those things and making them for the show, and they were disgusting.
My mom was saying these people are not actors/actresses...how can you even take these movies out now and call them a movie next to things like Gone with the Wind, and old classics where you had true "stars"...like Viven Leigh and Clark Gable and Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, or Gregory Peck, or Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis...I mean how does one go from that to Johnny Knoxville?? My mom said these movies that are out now...she was horrified by some of the clips...and said that when they call those movies "classics"...she said those people must have a turnip for a brain to say something that stupid. And I said...ya see what I am talking about now. I have been saying that for 15 years now.
I am so shocked too...when I see clips from these dumb movies, and there is a category of best video game that was a movie...that is so stupid. I wish I wouldn't have watched anything except the Breakfast Club thing, but even that was totally ruined by that awful band.
Sorry for venting...I just can't stand what MTV has become...their one line up of shows was horrible. I know Viva La Bam was one of them, but they previewed a new one of trashy scums doing dumb stuff and now they have their own show too.

Okay I finally watched it and I think that Molly Ringwald seemed way less intelligent now then she did when she was a teenager. Ally Sheedy looked like she was on something because she was all over the place, and why didn't they let Carl the Janitor come up on stage too!!
Overall disappointed a little bit I wish that there would have been more behind the scenes stuff and where in the world was John Hughes anyway??
DIdn't like Yellowcard's cover version of Don't You Forget About ME at all. Just not my cup of tea I guess.
I did watch, fast forward, through the whole thing. I am glad that Tom Cruise was honored and was able to control himself, but Katie Holmes just looks so funny to me with him. She looks really skinny too. Well Well!! That's my dig on the awards!
