It was on TV last night, I haven't seen it in so long, and I had forgotten how much I actually like this movie. I think I might have to go buy it. There is a song that plays at the very end when they are getting back on that plane to leave, and I really liked the song. I can't even remember the words now, but I found the Commando soundtrack on the internet, but none of the song titles sound right..they all sound like an instramental.
It did bug the heck out of me too that they cut the end credits , and they made them small at the bottom, and split the screen and I couldn't read anything, and they rolled them super fast. So, I couldn't look to see who sang the song. Does anyone know??
I love the scene in Commando where he takes the bulldozer through the window of the army store, and he gets caught....so Rae Dawn Chong follows behind them, and gets the rocket launcher out, and shoots the vehicle he is in, and it knocks her into the back seat of the convertible.
When I was watching some of the things he did in this movie, like climbing the fence, and ripping the lock right off the gate, or kicking stuff in with his foot. I was thinking how that is how they should make the Bionic Man movie, not a comedy...it should be an awesome action movie, just like Commando, and see him running and jumping up in the air- the effects they could do with that movie would be cool, and they could give it an awesome story line, but they are going to destroy it.

Commando not a comedy? It was so unintentionally funny that it can't be anything but a comedy. Some of Schwarzennegers lines were so cheesy that it would constipate an average sized human being for a week.

Thanks Ronnie. That is interesting, your right on the song and the name. I looked it up and apparently alot of people like it, and want it, and they say it isn't available on the soundtrack, it only plays at the end credits.
I wanted to find the song lyrics for it, and couldn't, does anyone have them???
It says you can get the song itself from Napster, but I don't know how to do all that.

FAT- Thank you for the song!! That is so cool. I really like this song. I only heard it last night, but it really was cool sounding. I wonder why it never was released, it has cool music and everything.
I like some of the words ..what I could make out are:
I will protect you, where nothing can hurt you, no storm cloud skies...rain ...blah blah blah(I can't tell what they are saying there) I am a mountain surrounded by your love you are a "fountain" that dreams are made of
we fight for love
some where some how some one
I fight with fire as I watch them conspire as they blow my world apart between the light and the endless nights you will always be in my heart

I loved this movie back then. It's about time for a special editon DVD of this movie. Wasn't the little girl in the movie the same girl from Who's The Boss? She plays on Charmed now. I loved the way he wore his camo makeup! Our high school colors were black and gold and during our homecoming week we had a "black & gold day" where everyone wore the school colors and I wore a black ninja suit with a gold t-shirt under it and I put on black and gold face paint stiped the way he wore his face paint. I even striped my neck and arms. It came out really cool! I think I still have a picture of me dressed like that. I'll try to find it. But Commando rocked! I love all of Schwarzanegger's movies. He was supposed to have played the lead role in that planet of the Apes remake. That would have been cool. Too bad they went a different direction with it. For years they have been mentioning doing a Sgt. Rock movie (based on a comic book character) starring him. I wish they would. He would make a great Sgt. Rock.

I guess he's too busy doing whatever he's doing in California at the moment to make movies...
This is a good one - thanks for reminding me of this movie, Isis! I remember that I really liked this back in the 80s but hadn't thought about it since. I think I'll go and rent it.
