That's a great scene, when Cage gets all excited and starts swearing, he gives us a taste of what is to come when his career starts roliing.

Nic Cage is the king of quirky improv. The gum dropping on Tommy's lap and the harmonica scene were all Cage.

How about that horrible squeaky voice from "Peggy Sue Got Married". The director was completely against it, but Cage stuck with his gut and it only added to his excellent performance.

What is going on here? I was in a thrift store looking for stuff with my mom today and out of the blue this guy walked up to the cash dressed I kid you not like vintage Randy in VG. Pretty young too. Is this just hipster fashion talking?
