Hello, Does anyone know the reason why Simon & Schuster has not re-released Fast Times at Ridgemont High: A True Story (the book the movie was based on). I used to have a copy of it, and long story short it is now gone. I search on ebay all the time and they are going for high amount (from 40-100 dollars). It seems to be a market for it, and I believe it would sell, so what is the deal. Is there some legal issues that we don't know about. My 2 Cents Eric

I'll tell you what, I bought a copy off Ebay last summer for like $45. I took it with me on vacation and read the whole thing in 2 days. I expected it to be great and in the end, it was just okay to me. The book goes into so much more detail about the characters we are familiar with from the movie. For example, in the book Linda (Phoebe Cates character) is into drugs and not a really nice person at all. There are also alot of other characters never seen in the movie that the book goes off on tangents with. I'll stick to the movie version.
