I just read on imdb.com page for Ally Sheedy that she turned down the role that was made famous by Kelly McGillis in Top Gun.
Talk about not right for the part at all. She doesn't seem like a seductress, I can't see her playing that part at all. She would have been about the last person I would have thought would even be considered for the role.
Maybe Meg Ryan's part, I could definately see that.
