Oops...I accidentally posted this in 80's Music...my bad.
Have any of you seen this movie? I watched it tonight and I thought it was rather good. The subject matter is definitely on the taboo side but I did think that the friendship between Tatum and Richard Burton had a genuine sweetness to it. He never crossed any creepy lines with her and that made all the difference. It's a shame that Tatum's career never advanced. She was an Oscar winner for Paper Moon and I do like the performances I have seen of her. Little Darlings was a cute movie. Just my two cents.

What is the subject matter Cindy?? I have never heard of it, but I like to find older movies that have people in them I like. Actually I have never seen anything Tatum was in except Little Darlings...which I love-you know....
I keep forgetting to ask you Cindy...did you like the song at the beginning of the movie( Little Darlings)....
It goes something like:
It won't last forever do it for worse or for better give the boys something to dream about....
I'd love to find that song.

Basically, Tatum O'Neal is a schoolgirl who breaks up with her boyfriend during a fight at this little cafe. She tries to run out of the place without him seeing her but instead hides behind a pilar and meets an older man who is enjoying his lunch. He has just witnessed the fight and helps her hide. They get to talking and she finds out that he is actually a well known artist. Right off the bat, the two of them have an affinity for each other and begin a meaningful friendship that most people cannot understand or accept. I will not tell you anymore cause it's a really good story. I think you'd like it.
I'm the same way, once I like an actor or actress, I seek out other movies they've done. This happened to be one I stumbled across after you let me borrow Little Darlings. Speaking of which, you must be psychic...your cd is in the works !! Email me with any other songs you may be looking for.

Huh??? Did you find that song??? I like some of the songs they did in Career Opportunities...but I don't know the names of them.
I do that too with actors/actresses...like Deborah Foreman, and Melody Anderson and Jill Schoelen, Betsy Russell and Donna Wilkes, I have almost every movie each one of them ever did.

Miss Cindy i've always loved Tatum. Paper Moon is awesome. I love that it's in B&W. I thought she deserved the Oscar she got for it. I believe Paper Moon has a page on the 70's site???
Little Darlings is so a favorite of mine too. Hillarouis! You'd almost think it was 70's also....cause of the wardrobe and the music.
Did anyone catch Tatum on Sex and the City.....as the friend who always gets all the party gifts.....loses Carrie's shoes and gives her grief....very funny!

Hey Muffy! Little Darlings is now a fav of mine too ! I found the opening song "Shake It" by Ian Matthews on Lime Wire. I like the whole summer vibe and the clothes. They are a bit more 70's but that's okay. It makes me want to watch Friday The 13th for some reason.
As for Tatum on Sex and the City, oh my God, I didn't realize that was her!!! That episode was great. I was like she better pay for those shoes! Hahaha. I must go watch it now! If only I could remember what season...too many dvd's here.
Good looking out on that one Muffy!!
