I just thought about this movie the other night,I have no idea why, I think it might have been mentioned before a long time ago, but I don't think I ever commented on it. I think it is one of my all time least favorite movies, and it is:
POPEYE-with Robin Williams and Shelly Duvall.
I remember when it came out, that it was one of the first movies ever to be played on HBO, and they played it all the time, I haven't seen it since, but I remember I thought it was awful.

I remember watching it all the time on HBO. My mother loved it for some strange reason. I think I liked it too then, but now I think it's pretty horrid.

Oh now it wasn't that bad. I liked it enough to watch the whole thing. I must say that I am not a big Shelley Duvall fan but she would have been the only one to fit the part of Olive Oyl. I wonder was it ever nominated for any Razzie Awards, I don't think it won any if it did because I just saw a list of winners of the Razzie's yesterday and I don't remember seeing it on there.

I remember getting the soundtrack album from the Popeye movie. The strange thing was, my mum never bought it, and I hadn't won any contests, yet it arrived in the mail.
I loved it when I was younger and it is one of only 4 vinyls I have kepts. Last year I bought a record player and listened to it for the first time in about 15 years. I thought it was still fun if a bit hokey.
