Just kidding! Now that I have your attention, I thought I'd mention that I just turned 17!!! Young though I am, I have a vast knowledge and appreciation for 80's movies that took 17 years to develop and will only grow and flourish in the years to come. Here's to 17 more years of 80's movies!

Happy birthday and don't scare me. I didn't even like 16 Candles and the thought of a sequel scared me.

Well, there conceivably might be. USA Network was working on a possible sequel, only it was 32 Candles rather than 17. There hasn't been much news in a while, so the project could be dead (and there's little chance John Hughes would be involved, so if it does go through forget about any special charm), but then again, maybe not. We'll have to wait and see.

Well, considering it's me, you should know I have notoriously bad taste in movies. To be fair, (or maybe shock ye more) I thought 16 Candles was better than The Breakfast Club (And to be fair to that one, I saw it really late at night after watching the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time.). Which is sad, because considering that I go to this site, I really want to like Molly Ringwald movies, but I only think of them as OK. I don't hate them . . . But I don't love them.

actually "lupers" i agree with you about molly ringwald. i never really liked movies because of her or liked her that much. i love sixteen candles though....again, not caring so much for her but for the movie itself. i don't watch breakfast club anymore cause it's overplayed and i just can't watch that movie today, but i don't hate it. same for pretty in pink...i am just not a fan of hers.

I'm glad I'm not alone at least. I mean, I'm just not into that type of movie.
