Hi there im new to website and so far i think it RoCks, and although i was born in 85, i was raised watching 80's movies my whole life. My favourite has to be The goonies. i could watch that movie over and over. And so far i have been tryin to vote this movie to the top on the voting page. Does anyone else agree that this is the best 80's movie of all time?? Posts: 18 | From: Bristol, south west, England | Registered: Sep 2002 | Site Updates: 0

Hmm, well, it would be hard for me to pick a favorite movie from the 80's because there are so many that I love, but The Goonies would definitely be up there on my list.
I remember I saw The Goonies as a little girl in the drive-in, and I loved it then when it was brand new and I still love it today. The child actors were brilliant and realistic. Also, who could forget Cyndi Laupers video "Goonies R Good Enough"? I remember running to my parents bedroom to watch that video whenever it came on (ya, I know I'm dating myself telling u I remember Cyndi Laupers videos being new, I feel so old, haha).
Because of the 9/11 attacks, it's great to watch 80's films and be taken away to a much simpler, happier time. We live in the best country in the world, and entertainment has always been one of our strong points, and I'm so glad in times like these that we have wonderful films like "The Goonies" to lift our spirits and totally boost our morales. =)

Oh you guys still havent gotten the Goonies DVD in England??
Thats too bad, because it rocks! It's two DVD's, and includes a bunch of extra stuff like a really cool interactive menu with several deleted scenes and interviews with the actors and even the Cyndi Lauper video. Its very worth it to purchase this DVD set!! =)

Nuts, I didn't realise The Goonies was on DVD, my bank balance will have to suffer even more when it realises it has to pay for the DVD :) It's just been hit for a couple of 80s films I haven't seen before but I gather are very good, Koyaanisqatsi (1983) & Powaqqatsi (1988), with any luck they should arrive on Saturday.
Peter182, it's really worth having a multiregion DVD player, American & Aussie DVDs are quite cheap compared to UK ones, got the Aussie release of Predator SE & Predator 2 for the same price as Predator SE in the UK.
