This might actually be '70s. There is a movie called SUNSHINE about a little girl with cancer I think. And they use the song SUNSHINE by John Denver. Is there any way i can get a copy? My sister just told me about it.

mamamiasweetpeaches I remember this movie from my childhood. I'm pretty sure the mom had cancer and the father was taking care of the little girl at the end as "Sunshine On My Shoulders" was playing. Did they ride off on a motorcyle or something at the end of the movie?
They made a short lived TV series out of it too. It's not available anywhere that I know of though.

Thansk to everyone who responded to this question. They sell bootleg copies of it on eBay so Im trying to get it that way. I was wrong: the little girl didnt have cancer....the mom did.
