it was english and i watched it at school i left school in `92 so would have been a few years old (school films were never new)could be something like dancing in the dark but i think that was a song the main bloke was good looking had a funny name and wore leather trousers i know it`s not much. please help

I have not seen it, so i dont know if your guy with the Leather trousers in it but its English and i reckon this is it!!
I just remember the Video cover and always looked like a Rip-off of Dirty Dancing.....no a fan of this either.
