Has anyone got a clue as to whether this is actaully being made? I have read that it is, i have read that it isn't. The last thing i read on a website was that Richard Donner made it clear there was NO SEQUEL PLANNED. Any thoughts fellow 80's lovers???

I think this should be left well alone. The only reason for this film to be made would be money and not the love of the first film.

That would be the worst!!!!! Somethings should be left well alone, if they were gonna make a sequel, then they should have done it at the time with the same cast, I cant imagine the dross that they will churn out , with a sequel. All I can say is, make a kids adventure film, for the kids of today, but dont **** off the kids of the 80's by cashing in on the title!!!...rant over.

this has been talked about for YEARS. and so far, nothing has come of it. the way i see it, if they were serious about making a sequel, and doing it for the love of the movie like canyoudigit said, it should have been done already, instead of gossiping over it all this time. but thank heavens it's only talk. what bothers me, is that some of the cast is actually interested in a sequel. just because a movie is extremely popular, doesn't mean that it needs to be done all over again, or that we need a part 2 or 3, practically 20 years after the fact.
