Top Secret is one helluva funny film. I haven't seen it for many many years and it's scenes are a bit hazy in my mind, but the overall memory I have of this film is laughing hysterically.

If you like Airplane, Naked Gun, Hot Shots etc then you'll love Top Secret. I personally rate this movie very highly and would like to thank Tim for reminding me that I need to watch it again as soon as possible....

Yes, it is definitely worth watching. It was made by the same people responsible for the first "Airplane!" movie, as well as their other spoofs, "Hot Shots!", the "Naked Gun" series, and the TV show "Police Squad!". And it is done in that same screwball comedy style.
Val Kilmer plays a rock singer on a spy mission in East Germany.
It is more or less a spoof of various Elvis Presley movies.

.... and even then you'll still think you missed some.
My brother actually worked on this movie when they were making it - they used some locations where he was working and he ended up doing some scene-moving for them. In particular, the bit where the German officers answer the big phone he recalls watching them shoot this from around the corner of the set.

nice! I have to see it then...the only thing is, i cant find it at any rental store. These blockbusters and hollywood videos really need to step it up, they all suck.

I got my copy a few years ago from FYE, if there's one in your area. I recommend it with every ounce of my being. It's definitely the forgotten Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker classic.
