Hey this is really a good set of movies, if you can keep track of the names that everyone has. Dangerous Liasions starred John Malkovich, Glenn Close, Michelle Pfieffer, Uma Thurman, Swoosie Kurtz and Keanu Reeves. What else were you going to do in the 1700's. You had to invent some kind of game to keep yourself occupied so what better way than to make fun of and string someone along like a puppett and see what you can make them do.
They also made another version of this called Valmont that starred Colin Firth, Annette Bening, Meg Tilly, Fairuza Balk, and Henry Thomas it was also a good rendition of the story. But I have to say that I felt the overall feeling of Dangeorus Liasions was more effective.
Which one of these did you like best and why ???????????

At last...a movie of some substance is 'movie of the day'...thank you JLP!
Having only seen "DL" I can only offer my opinion that it was elegant, sensual, provocative...Uma was so young & beautiful, it's hard to believe her career has been that long because she's still young & beautiful to me...Glenn Close was dangerous and eventually pathetic as the instigator...Malkovich really showed his dark side for the first time...in short, a great watch.
Now that Colin Firth is the hot Brit of the day, I hope to catch "Valmont" eventually.

Well you must watch it because they really are good films. They aren't exactly the same. The tone of DL is a lot better and the sets are better.
