I just watched this again in its entirty for about the 100th time. I really like the pairing of Molly Ringwald and RAndall Batinkoff in this one. I like the struggles and the determination of both characters. It really shows you that love can last and that you can make it though anything. It can really give you hope. I think that this is a classic because it strays a little from the normal teen flicks that we saw in the 80s. They took more responsiblity. It was a great one.
What do you all think?

While not the greatest movie in the world I must say I've seen it about ten times! They must play it on TV alot. I also will agree that part of it's appeal is the two leads are both very likable in this.

My friend met Randall Batinkoff in real life.
I like this movie too, it kind of was more realistic than most teen pregnancy movies, but it is pretty scary that she got pregnant while taking birth control- I never forgot that part-because they were being responsible, and life happens anyway.
I liked Molly with longer hair at the beginning.
