Yep, three Rewind chicks in the same place at once. What more do you need? I got to meet and hang with these ladies today and I have to say it was completely awesome! Couldn't have gone better. I think the three of us just stared at each other for a few seconds like, wow, you're really here...lol!!
One of the best parts of the day was our expedition to the Vintage Video store. It was nuts having people with me who understand my obsession with 80's movies and wanted to be there as much as I did. We were all going crazy picking up movies and saying to each other, "have you seen this?" or "you need to get this!" or "oh my god I love this movie." We cleaned house by the way!
In any event, I just want Isis, her husband, son and Muffy to know how much I appreciated them making the trip up to visit me. I had a blast! I still can't believe it...YAY!!!! Come back soon!!

I have to say that yesterday was the coolest day!!! We had a total blast with Cindy. This has been like totally surreal. It was so bizarre to be sitting at Cindymancini dining room table, having lunch, and talking about THE REWIND..and then taking off to go to the Vintage Video store was like we had won a trip to Disney World. Even the cashier commented on what great taste in movies we all had. I think he was just being overly nice, since we did buy out the story.
I am going to try and remember all the ones I got but here's some:
First I could not believe I found these: Goofballs Lisa and Oxford Blues
That was pretty freaky...then I got:
The Sure Thing Fear (with Ally Sheedy) Halloween 3-The Season of the Witch Tarzan- (Greystoke) P.K. and the Kid Stanley & Iris The New Kids-with Lori Laughlin & James Spader Less than Zero The Juror Murder by Phone Morgan Stewart's Coming Home Phantom of the Opera-(with Freddie Kruger)
and my son got: The Neverending Story 2 The Trial of the Incredible Hulk
Thank-you Cindy for such a FUN day, we all had a blast, we all were so glad to meet you, and hopefully we can make this an annual event or something...cause it was so Great!!!

Muffy--I am jealous you got Seven Minutes in Heaven. Does this Vintage Video Store have a website or something????? Let us know please!

The details are kind of sketchy, but I just read this and thought everyone would be interested:
quote:Sexy American Boyfriend Missing?
Last night in the quiet furniture aplentiful town of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania one of our own appears to be missing. Michael Schoeffling who is best known for his handcrafted Birthday Cake Holder, was on his way to the Video Store and apparently the directions got fouled up.
His wife reports that Michael received a mysterious phone call about 4pm from someone that identified herself as Ms. Rewind. After Michael got off the phone, he told his wife that the big career break he had been waiting for was finally happening. He even mentioned the opportuntity of a life time to meet the person he idolized the most or something. Well that was the last anyone heard from Michael. I want everyone to please join me and pray to the Furniture Gods for his safety.
In an unrelated story, three goofs were spotted fighting over Vintage 80s Videos. The store owner had to close early due to lack of remaining inventory. These goofs were last scene dangerously speeding out of town in a Red Porsche with the license plate number 21850.

Did you guys...excuse me girls stay up late and eat ice cream & chips and make prank phone calls to the coolest boys on the block? And I'm sure you all watched Pretty In Pink and danced to Bonnie Hays with the Wild Combo "Girls Like Me"
Just kidding but it still sounds like you all had a BLAST!

Well C.T., I'm not sure about everything you just mentioned, but my phone kept ringing all night long if that means anything.
I have just left myself wide open on this one, have fun Isis, Muffster, & Cindy.

The last information for the M.I.A. S.A.B.(Missing in action, sexy american boyfriend)
is this:
Michael Schoeffling (aka Jake Ryan) was found early this morning, in his front yard, wrapped in nothing but a sheet.
When the police arrived to question him of his whereabouts, he mumbled something...it sounded Japanese...and the police said could you repeat yourself, and he screamed: Goofs!! Goofs!!! Goofs!!!

Well Rewinders the Day/Night is finally here for Isis's "Halloween Fool's Day" Extravaganza. We have one of our own, The Muffster, who was actually brave enough to venture cross country to the big event. Muffy I hope you're ok, "send us a signal" if you survive ...I mean after you've had so much fun with Isis.
There is one snag though, the planned special 80s guests that were suppose to attend have not made it thus far.
1. Deborah Foreman - She sounded excited about attending, but her email has been dead , wait I mean not working for a couple of days apparently.
2. Jake Ryan - As you can read above, he had an unfortunate incident and he is currently in psych ward in Wilkes-Barre continuously mumbling the word "Goofs" over and over.
3. Joanna Cameron - Isis's new best buddy appears to have had other commitments because she was not on her plane that landed in Groundhogville last night.
4. Lucinda D1ckey - she's been missing for quite awhile and nobody knows how to reach her. Strange though, Isis & Muffy sent me a picture last night and they were dressed exactly like Special K & Turbo from Breakin'. Spooky I know.
5. Bill Murray - Mr. Groundhogville himself dropped out at the last minute as well I've been told. Something about getting "Scrooged" or was it "Goofed"....you get the point.
Well sorry Muffy & Buffy I know you are disappointed that certain people were unable to attend, but they will all be there in "Spirit". So just break out the Ouija Board at Midnight and let the Goofin' begin. BOO!
Happy Halloween Isis, Muffy And Every Rewinder!Posts: 7845 | From: Smiling and glancing in awe in the back of a limo | Registered: Mar 2003 | Site Updates: 22
