I agree with Devo...it's good enough, but very dated. I find sometimes it's hard to get into a movie that was from back then if you didn't see it and love it then, too. My friend had never seen Real Genius (!) so I made her sit and watch it, and she thought it was just ok.
Go figure.

Johnny Be Good's horrible. Kinda cool to see a young Uma Thurman in it, though. And I think Farmer Ted did a lot of 'roids to be believable as a big-time jock.

Yep, a fair flick. I remember when it came out on video, with the front labeled "With added R-rated nudity!" or something to that effect. Basically saying, "Rent me, teenage boys! Since this movie bombed when it was pg-13!"
The funniest bit is the ending during the recruiter riot. Some bald guy kicks three different people in the groin, and a guy takes a swing at Hall but hits a huge black guy instead .

Okay, not a great movie. But I loved the way that Johnny treated Georgia in the film. I wish I had a guy that would totally be in love with me like he was with her. That is probablly my most memorable part of the movie. That and the horrible outfit he wore purple/gold, while walking downt he street with the gold chains. Yuck.
