I need a little help on this one... I have been thinking for hours and I simply can't remember the name this great teenage movie from the 80's! Cant remember any of the actors either...

Here are some of the stuff i do remember:
the movie is about teenage boy who goes to a very strict (maybe military) school...

He is a real troublemaker... Among things, he floods a entire room in the beginning of the movie... he reminds me of Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueler!

He is a huge fan of horror movies... In fact his whole room at the school is filled with posters and other things from horror movies!

His parents are really rich... In the beginning his mom comes to visist him at the school in a helicopter!

He gets a girlfriend in the movie... I remember a scene where they have just been to the movies to watch "Attack of the killer tomato" and on their way out they sing they movie's title song: "Attack of the killer tomato!!! Attack of the killer tomato!!!"

Does this ring any bells for any of you??? -please help! -Im going crazy thinking about this!!!
