Was thinking about what Isis was saying about how to have fun on Friday night. It got me thinking if any of you have called up a bunch of 80's maniacs and had themed movie night or weekend? Looking at my movie collection, i think I could pull off a pretty decent Molly Ringwald or John Cusack fest beacause I have obscure stuff to go with the popular movies. Unfortunately I don't have a basement or a big enough place to host this event, not to mention that most of the 80's fans are miles away on this forum. Just wondered if anyone has attempted something this ambitious. It could be a lot of fun, especially if you get prizes for trivia or staying awake through hours and hours of film.

Riptide, u must be physcic, cuz for the past coupla weeks I have been planning a huge Johnny Depp fest at my house for tomorrow night w/ my posse. Our viewing stylings will inlcude, Pirates(of course), Crybaby, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, and Donnie Brasco. Ok, so its more of a whole day affair. Either way, it's gonna be so awesome.

Was trying to think back to my crazy college days and I actually participated in one of these fests. Although it was 70's Cheech and Chong. One weekend we rented a bunch of their movies and we had to take a sip of beer or alcohol everytime Cheech or Chong said Man. Let me just tell you that after the first hour I still don't remember much to this day.

Ok, so Depp night was a complete success. Total interrupted Depp mania, except for a quick pizza break to lil ceaser in our jammies. It was simple, but fun. Hmmm...River Phoenix nite sounds fun! Maybe you can make it our for that Riptide.

I tried to host a horror movie night once, but i think that it failed. No one talked or drank or ate anything, so i had to end the night early and put all my stuffed animals away.

I have an 80s themed Halloween party every year. We all dress like an 80s character and play games. We play 6 degrees of seperation and quote lines from 80s films that we have to guess. It's realy so much fun!

Speaking of 80's costumes, anyone see the video for buz band the Strokes song called 12:51? They are dressed in Tron outfits. Then again their drummer whose girlfriend is Drew Barrymore was in Wedding Singer.

All the kids around today probably won't get the videos concept. It's just gonna go over there heads.
