On Friday nights, when we are all bored, and wishing we were back in the 80's, we should all pick a movie and agree to it through out the week, what it will be, and on Friday night, all watch it together, at our own homes, but what would be cool, is that we all know what the each of us is doing, and it would be like hanging out together, what do you guys think? Then we can talk about the movie, and talk about things that we might have needed refreshed about. We should all pick a really popular movie that most of us have, and since most of us have a very extensive collection of movies, it shouldn't be too hard, and others could rent it.

I really like this idea. It's kinda cool to think that several of us would be enjoying the same movie at the same time. Of course, if your in High School or College convincing your friends that watching old 80s movies on FRIDAY NIGHT is cool might be a stretch.
Isis:
You should pick the first movie since it's your great idea.

Yes Isis pick a movie. I might have to watch it on Saturday though because I have work, then I have to go to a concert right after, so I will be dead tired.

I was already trying to think of a movie that we could all watch...about Xmas, I am probably watching Prancer tongiht, I have to watch kid friendly movies earlier in the night. I just got First Blood on DVD 2 nights ago, and I want to watch it this weekend. My son and I watched Raiders of the Lost Arc last night.
I thought about A Christmas Story-but we'll all be seeing that one a ton.
How about next Friday we start, what about:
About Last Night??? Rob Lowe/Demi Moore...it has Xmas in it, and it is a great date movie, and I haven't seen it in awhile myself. So, even if nobody else wants to join in, I'd watch it anyway...
Let me know what you all think, and college kids should do an 80's movie night-that is a great college activity. I used to go to the movies in the 80's with all my friends in college, and some of the colleges, played movies in their theater...I remember going with a group of guys to see Young Guns at Penn State, and it was freezing cold,it was at Xmas- and we walked there-from the dorms-cause nobody could afford a car,and we all looked at Xmas lights and it was a blast.

But woth all the diffrent time zones her, we wouldn't really be watching it at the same time on Friday night. Know what I mean?

If everyone watched the movie at 10pm EST in the US it would at least include everyone in the US, Canada, & Mexico.
For the people in the UK and elsewhere they could watch it on Friday night in their timezone. I realize not everyone would watch it at the same time, but it would create another common thread between us all.
I think discussion about the movie the following day could be interesting, if everyone gives input. I always think it's cool to read posting about how different movies affected people in totally different ways.

Kash, Your right, I have it sitting here, in my pile of Xmas movies...let's do it. I haven't watched it yet, how about anyone else, let's all watch Gremlins Friday night, whatever time friday night comes for each of us, because by the time everyone gets around to posting, it isn't going to matter anyway, right??
