The ultimate feel good dance movie of the 80s is probably Flashdance. I also love Breakin' 1 & 2, Dirty Dancing, Staying Alive. I don't really care much for Footloose, though. What are your thoughts?

Breakin 1 & 2 are my favorite all time movies, I think everyone is probably sick of me saying it, but I will never get tired of those movies. My son loves them too, they are now his favorite, whenever we want something uplifting and just plain fun, we watch it. Which is very often. I know it word for word, every song is fantastic. I love Ozone. I love his clothes, I love Kelly's clothes, I like how down to earth Lucinda Dickey is, she out dances anyone I have ever seen in a movie. My son said there is a new movie that looks like they are copying Breakin, I haven't seen the previews, he said it's called Honey, and he said it looks really dumb. Does anyone know anything about it? It will be dumb, no doubt.

I've seen previews for "Honey". I think it stars Jessic Alba. The previews make it out to be "Flashdance" 2003. The story is a little different, but the underlying theme seems to be consistent with Flashhdance.
The first preview that I watched made me think "this will be cheesy", but then I thought the preview for "Flashdance" and "Dirty Dancing" were probably "cheesy" too. So I say give it a chance.

I saw Honey on Saturday, and I thought that Flashdance was better, even though I liked Honey also. It wasn't too much like Flashdance.

Dirty Dancing hands down! I always walked away from that movie feeling awesome.

Footloose was great also.
