Hey hows it going. From my research, "The Monster Squad" hasn't come out on DVD yet, but it was reported that it should have this past October. I hope it gets released soon because its a classic.

I too love this film! I used to watch it when I was little, and I love it still. It's so sad though in the end when Frankenstein gets sucked up into that thing and the little girl is crying. :-(

I always loved Monster Squad. Granted I was young and had a crush on a few guys from the cast, but it's still a great movie.
Last year, someone left a post that a cast member from that film had died. Anybody know who? Better yet is it true?

Well I am sure like other people have said in the past that copies on ebay are not the feal factory made.
But most times there is a lot of them that are real, probably made by a cheap made company. Who somehow they are able to make these movies, even the real old popular ones. The ones me and my friend they don't get any newer. Newer I mean by factory made type.
The same seller I bought my from, have one of the version of Halloween 6 The Producers Cut, one of the real ones out there, just can't buy it in stores. So maybe with the other Monster Squad movie including scenes like this that weren't in the movie.
Which also might include scenes that are on TV that some DVD's have

OK, I'm answering my own question. Horace, real name Brent Chalem, died in 1997 of Pneumonia at the age of 22.

Not factory made, bootleg, even factory made DVDs can be bootlegs such as the Star Wars trilogy DVDs from Malaisya where western copyright laws have no hold.
The factory pressed Star Wars trilogy DVDs are from laserdisc, as are The Monster Squad DVDs I'm guessing because the Japanese laserdisc release was in full widescreen whilst all other official releases round the world are in fullscreen.

Well I don't know about the others. There is one seller on ebay that is based from a video store. And I know for a fact that the seller sells the movies that he gets from the company. So it isn't going to be a bootleg.
I believe some users on this board disses all of the DVD's for Monster Squad on ebay mostly likely because they bought one and it turned out to be a bootleg.
Only bootlegs I ever bought was VCD's that you can't find the movies anywhere, or the price under 100 dollars. Other than that I have never had no problems.
My monster copy is not from the orginial studio that made the copy, but is factory made from a company. IT IS NOT A BOOTLEG. After my friend bought his and I found out that it was indeed a real DVD is when I bought my copy.
Some one can report me if they get mad. I don't care NOT ALL MONSTER SQUADS DVD's are BOOTLEGS. So stop complaining about it if the reason because you get one of the boots. I feel for you but does not give you any right to be dissing these people that indeed sell the real DVD's.

Can you tell me what the barcode number is?
I have The Monster Squad on DVD-R because I put it on there last week from my original VHS, if there does exist an official DVD then I want it, otherwise I'll just keep my eye open for the Japanese laserdisc.

I don't know why people make a big fuss about this movie, I have the artwork but it don't show the barcorde that is how most of all cheap movies are made to avoid the high prices people charge for hard to find movies. Of all the ones I have seen for sale none of them had barcodes, including the bootlegs
